Short answer: Kiwi Size Chart is a strong, long-established Shopify sizing app, and it's reasonably priced for small stores. Its Plus and Ultimate plans add charges based on your store's order count, so costs climb as you grow. If that's the problem, MP Size Chart, Jotly, BF Size Chart and others list flat monthly plans.

Picture a new store on Kiwi's Plus plan, paying $14.99 a month. The owner adds a size recommender, the brand grows, and a year later it's shipping 600 orders a month. The plan name hasn't changed, but the bill is now $34.99, because usage charges count the store's orders. Nothing is hidden: it's on Kiwi's pricing page. It's just easy to miss that table until the invoice changes.

Sometimes that's still good value. This guide shows what Kiwi costs at each order volume, who should stay, and which alternative answers each reason for leaving.

What Kiwi does well

Kiwi Size Chart & Recommender launched on March 5, 2018, and lists a 4.7 rating from 1,244 reviews. No other app in this comparison has as many reviews. Its strengths are real:

  • Size charts: 22 pre-built templates, CSV upload and import from product descriptions, even on the free plan
  • Size recommenders: custom recommenders with performance analytics from the Plus plan
  • Translation: auto-translation into 22 languages on Ultimate

If your store is under 100 orders a month, or you're happy on Premium, there's little reason to move.

What Kiwi really costs

Kiwi has four plans. The free plan allows 3 charts with a watermark. Premium is $7.99 a month for 10 charts, with no watermark and no usage charges. Plus and Ultimate unlock the recommender, and those two carry the usage charges that catch people out.

Here's the monthly total on monthly billing, as listed on October 31, 2026:

Orders per billing cycle Plus (20 charts, 10 recommenders) Ultimate (unlimited)
Under 100 $14.99 $26.99
100 to 500 $19.99 $36.99
500 to 2,000 $34.99 $66.99
2,000 to 6,000 $74.99 $146.99
6,000 to 10,000 $134.99 $266.99
10,000 to 20,000 $214.99 $426.99
Over 20,000 $364.99 $726.99

Two details matter. The charge is based on orders your store receives, whether or not a shopper opened a size chart, and at least one recent App Store review objects to exactly that. And the first billing month has no usage charge, so a trial won't show you the bill you'll get later.

Alternatives by the reason you're switching

Your bill grows with your order count

MP Size Chart is the closest like-for-like option. Its plans are capped by recommendations instead of orders: $6.95 a month for up to 800, $12.95 for up to 2,000 with unlimited charts, and $24.95 for up to 5,000. For our 600-order store, that could mean $12.95 instead of $34.99, as long as 2,000 recommendations a month is enough. Check your recommender usage in Kiwi first, because caps and order bands aren't the same measure.

CSC Size Chart lists 500 AI recommendations at $14.99 a month. Its Plus plan is also priced by monthly orders, though, from $29.99 up to $299.99, so read the card before you move up.

You only need charts

If you've never used a recommender, you may be paying for the wrong thing.

  • BF Size Chart has the lowest entry price here: $2.99 for 10 charts, $5.99 for 100, $11.99 for unlimited.
  • Jotly includes unlimited charts, import and export, and a size scale bar at $6.99 a month.
  • Pify lists as free and covers charts with visual measurement guides for clothing and shoes.

Also compare Kiwi's own Premium plan at $7.99, which keeps your existing charts without any order charges. Staying put may be the simplest fix.

You don't want a watermark on the free plan

Kiwi's free plan includes its watermark. BF Size Chart, Jotly, Smart Size Chart and CSC Size Chart all list no watermark on their free plans, though you get 2 or 3 charts. That can be enough for a small catalog with one size table per product type.

You sell in several languages

Kiwi's Ultimate plan auto-translates into 22 languages, and it's the most expensive route once orders grow. Smart Size Chart lists multi-language and AI translation from $9 a month. Jotly lists AI auto-translation into any language on its $14.99 plan. Test a chart in your own languages, since sizing terms are easy to get wrong.

You want sizing and try-on in one app

AI Frame bundles charts, size recommendations and virtual try-on, with no per-order fees: free for 10 try-ons and 10 charts, then $19.99 a month for 80 try-ons. CSC Size Chart includes virtual try-on on its order-priced Plus plan. A bundle means one bill and one setup. The trade-off is that you can't swap either half on its own.

How to switch without losing your charts

  1. Record your measurements. Keep a copy of every size table outside the app before you change anything.
  2. Check the import route. MP Size Chart lists chart imports, BF Size Chart lists export and import from its Starter plan, and Jotly from Essentials. Try it on the free trial with your most complex chart.
  3. Rebuild your recommender logic. Recommenders use different inputs, so test yours on a few real products and compare the suggestions with what you know about the fit.
  4. Check the product page on a phone. Make sure only one size link shows, and that it sits close to the size selector.
  5. Uninstall Kiwi once you're satisfied, so you aren't billed on two apps.

Then watch your return reasons for a full return window. Shopify's apparel reasons include Too big and Too small, which makes this easy to compare before and after.

What a size chart app can't do

In Loop Returns' data, 56% of apparel returns are about fit or size and 25% about style or preference. Every app above speaks to the first number. None of the charts can show how a color or cut will look on the person buying it.

That's a separate tool, and our comparison of size charts and virtual try-on explains when each one helps. Traion AI Virtual Try-On is our own app in that second category, so it isn't an alternative to Kiwi. It doesn't measure anyone or recommend a size. It adds a Try Me button to Shopify product pages, where shoppers upload or take a photo and see the item on themselves, and it runs alongside whichever size chart you pick.

Traion is free to install with 10 free try-ons, then packages start at $19 for 100 with no monthly fee or order-based charge. It's new, with only a couple of reviews, and we'd rather say so here. If style doubt is costing you sales, install free and test it next to your size chart.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the questions merchants ask most about this topic.

Is Kiwi Size Chart free?

It has a free plan with up to 3 published size charts, and that plan includes a Kiwi watermark. Paid plans are $7.99, $14.99 and $26.99 a month as listed on October 31, 2026, each with a 14-day free trial. Plus and Ultimate also add usage charges based on your orders.

Does Kiwi Size Chart charge based on orders?

On the Plus and Ultimate plans, yes. Kiwi's pricing page says usage charges are based on the number of orders your store receives per billing cycle, starting at 100 orders. The first billing month has no usage charge. The Premium and free plans have no usage charges.

What is the best Kiwi Size Chart alternative?

It depends on why you're switching. MP Size Chart is the closest match with AI recommendations on flat monthly plans. BF Size Chart and Jotly are inexpensive if you only need charts. Pify lists as free. AI Frame and CSC Size Chart combine sizing with virtual try-on.

Can I move my size charts from Kiwi to another app?

Plan on rebuilding or importing them. Several apps list chart import, including MP Size Chart, BF Size Chart and Jotly, usually with CSV or export options on certain plans. Keep a copy of your measurements before you uninstall, and check how the new app imports them on a free trial.
