Privacy, Data Usage & Security – Shopify App

TraiOn.me is a virtual try-on app that integrates with your Shopify store to let customers preview outfits on themselves using AI. We are a B2B infrastructure provider and act as a data processor on behalf of Shopify merchants for end-customer data.

Data We Access

When you install TraiOn.me, we may access:

• Store name, store URL, Shopify store ID
• Product catalog data (images, SKUs, variants, titles)
• Basic order and event data (for conversion analytics, if enabled)
• Store owner contact details (email, name)

We do not access your customers' full order history or payment details.

Data We Collect from Shoppers

When shoppers use the widget, we process:

• Uploaded photos or camera images (for try-on generation)
• AI-generated try-on outputs
• Technical/log data (IP address, device, browser, session identifiers)
• Simple feedback (like/dislike, optional reason labels)

Data Retention

• User photos and AI outputs are stored only long enough to render the try-on and short-lived history.
• By default they are auto-deleted within 24 hours.
• We do not use user photos to train general AI models.

Data Processing Roles

• Shopify Merchant = Controller
• TraiOn.me = Processor/Sub-processor (under Shopify's framework)

We process customer personal data solely to provide the try-on functionality and related analytics.

Subprocessors

We rely on industry-standard subprocessors for:

• Cloud hosting & databases
• AI image generation APIs
• Email delivery
• Payment processing

All subprocessors are bound by written data processing terms and appropriate security measures.

Security

• Transport encryption (HTTPS/TLS)
• Access controls and logging
• Logical separation of merchant data
• Automated abuse and content moderation controls

GDPR and International Transfers

For EU/EEA and UK merchants/customers, TraiOn.me acts as a Processor and uses appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers where required.

A full Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available and incorporated into our Terms for merchants subject to GDPR/UK GDPR.

Uninstallation & Data Deletion

When you uninstall the TraiOn.me app from your Shopify store:

• We stop receiving new data from your store.
• We delete or anonymize store-linked personal data after our retention periods, except where required for billing, security logs, or legal obligations.

You can also request earlier deletion of remaining data by contacting support.
